Got a response to my earlier post within a couple hours, from someone at Blackfire. Very awesome support. Explained how I could fix the resolution settings back.

Still can't stretch across all 3 monitors(appears to force ratio) but at least I can play the game now. And so far it's great! Thank you!

Didn't get to try this yet. Downloaded, installed, now unable to play. I set resolution to 4080x768 and it's displaying at 4080x2304 instead. Unfortunately, I'm unable to change the settings back because the resolution setting is at the top, in the 0y to -768y section of the screen.

:(

Looks like an amazing game though. Please, email me when this bug is fixed, I would love to play it.

As a response to the popular "will this space game be available at Steam?": try writing them that you want this game there. It's all about what the market wants. ;)

WTF are you talking about?

1. Using Steam doesn't mean that you can't use all the other possibilities. So how exactly would putting it on Steam limit the market? *confused*

2. "As for the Linux release, of course it wasn’t ported, it is intended for profit." This comment doesn't make any sense either. There are many commercial games and applications for Linux. Linux doesn't mean that everything has to be free by default.

3. "there aren’t real games released for Unix/Linux platforms" WTF? Could it be possible that your only knowledge of Linux comes from some very old rumors you read somewhere? There are countless games released for Linux today. Just as an example pretty much every game by ID Software (Doom, Quake, ...) is available for Linux. And every day more Publishers decide to develop the new titles for Win, Mac and Linux at the same time.

4. "Wine DOES NOT count as it makes us rely on windows dependancies". Here we go again... No it doesn't. It's correct that some years ago you had to use native Windows dlls pretty often, to get things running. But today that usually isn't the case anymore and in fact the Wine team discourages the use of Windows dlls at all.

So please stop repeating old rumors you heard somewhere and comment on things you know about instead.

Will this game be added to Steam?
I plan to gift copies to a couple of friends.

BTW, to the "against-Steam" party, putting the game on Steam doesn't mean that the other payment options must be removed.

Spread the game on multiple distribution platforms... Me and many other friends check each week the new releases on Steam, and buy what we like. I happened to find this game by chance, and I think it is a nice game with a great potential for future growth.

It is fun little game, but it is damn short - looking forward to some bigger main dish with that: To Be Continued... message at the end. No save-game option is my main complain so far. You can't play when you want. Every time you need to start from scratch. It is annoying, even if game belong to 'steam-blower-after-ass-long-hard-day' category. In all well spent 5 GBP. It was certainly better investment than buying Red Alert 3.

Keep your productions away from Steam. It suxx ballz completely. Bought game once, forced to create account on Steam and never again.

Let me know when you release it for GNU/Linux.

Just so that I can even begin to consider getting this.

For gods sake, keeps it away from steam -_- too many people DO NOT use steam and if you put this on their off the get go, you will miss stupid amounts of people who will watch it disappear onto a market they will not use or bother having.

As for the Linux release, of course it wasn't ported, it is intended for profit.

I agree that it is a shame that there aren't real games released for Unix/Linux platforms (Wine DOES NOT count as it makes us rely on windows dependancies and neither does getting a loader to run a windows install, only true native linux ports such as NWN should count).

In any case, the game itself is impressive and can showcase the engine well. For the people that complain about a DEMO, go develop something and buzz off *eyeroll*
